Is WordPress right for you? No doubt, it is! No matter who you are, what motivates you to get a place on the web - a WordPress Blog will be "Your Place on the Web" - standalone or as addition to your Joomla Website or to any (business) website.
WordPress is the most favoured, the most loved Blog in theBlog-o-verse, but it can be much more than just a simple Blog!
Just as with Joomla, you can create your content easy, without any knowledge of HTML, CSS or PHP. If it comes to customization, or installation, initial set up (configuration) you may need some help, if you never set up any website or blog before. Don't worry - you can learn it or get help for a small amount.
If you have absolute no knowledge of CSS, it's best to start with a simple template, with one that you like the layout and color scheme as is.

If you read our article about the differences between a full blown CMS like Joomla and a advanced Blogging platform like WordPress, then you know already that WordPress displays your posts/ articles by date., one after the other. By default the last post/ article you entered will be the first one on your Home Page. You also can create Pages for static content. But keep in mind that you want to keep your content fresh as each WordPress post is dated and timestamped.
If you do need customization, to make your Blog /website make your own, you will most likely need some help in form of tutorials, a book, hands-on-training or hire some one that installs WordPress for you and customizes your template.
